Cristaudo's and 6Pence Eclipse Information

Because we are located right in downtown Carbondale, where many eclipse activities will be taking place, we are doing a few special things the weekend of Aug. 18th, 19th and 20th, and on Monday, Aug. 21st, the day of the eclipse.

We will have extended hours and be open on all 4 days, and are planning to stay open until the nighttime hours.  We are also taking table reservations for groups of 5-10 people.  Call (618)529-4303 for more details.

We will have outdoor seating available in the back of our building, we will be serving beer and cocktails and we are making yummy eclipse-themed ice cream sandwiches.

We will be selling bottled water, cookies, brownies and souvenirs outside, in front of our building for the convenience of eclipse event-goers!

For more information about the specifics give us a call at (618) 529-4303.

Carbondale is in the path of totality for not one, but two total solar eclipses. The first total solar eclipse over the U.S. since 1979 will reach its point of greatest duration on Aug. 21, 2017, just a few miles south of Carbondale. The next solar eclipse will happen on April 8, 2024.  SIU has created a website with a wealth of local, regional and national eclipse information.
